About Sunnie Hooten, Nurse Practitioner

Sunnie Hooten MSN RN CPNP FNP-C is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with more than 18 years of dedicated service in the health care industry. Previously Sunnie served two years in the National Health Service Corp to help bring quality health care to medically underserved children in Texas.

In September, 2008, she joined forces with Dr. Rima to offer expanded pediatric service to all children in the community. Sunnie is dedicated to holistic, quality health care and is truly concerned about the well-being of her patients and their parents.

Sunnie has a special interest in diet and nutrition as well as natural medicine. Her son was diagnosed with delayed food allergies at an early age. Because she persisted to find an answer for his symptoms, he is now a healthy, fully functioning young boy. His condition is controlled completely with diet and supplements. She is currently working on a PhD in Traditional Naturopathy as well as a second Nurse Practitioner Certification in Family Practice.

Sunnie is married to David Hooten who is a baseball coach and teacher. Together they have three children.
